My Writing Challenge
The only writing challenge I know I have had was recently was in my Communication Tech. class. Our assignment was to write a four page essay on an entrepreneur. Everyone thought it was easy, I don’t know why it was so difficult for me. The hard part of it for me was finding all the information on my entrepreneur and stretching it onto four pages. I wanted all the information on my entrepreneur to be written in order of his life from birth to now but it was hard to organize it all and make sense at the same time. I got all the information I could and tried to make it into an essay. I was worried it wasn’t going to make sense, but once people started editing my essay it got easier for me because I had help from those editing my paper telling me how to make it better. It was difficult for me to do but I never gave up.
yes i think writing a 5-7 page essay wasn't easy for any of us but yes getting help an advise from others does help us organize what we want to write
ReplyDeleteI understand you Maria, i was scared i would not be able to write so many words. Once you start writing you get more, and more ideas it becomes easier.
ReplyDeleteWriting isn't a easy skill. It does take time and is a difficult task in a majority of people's lives. We sometimes do not get all the efficient skills that we need but we get a minor part of information.
ReplyDeleteI Thought it was kind of difficult too because it was hard to find a specific information.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I had trouble finding some information on some of the stuff about my entroponour as well.
ReplyDeleteI agree that writing can be difficult and finding information about a person and trying to make sense it is hard. I think that writing is one of the hardest thing and that each time that we write we improve on our writing.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Maria. I thought that assignment was going to be easy; well actually, it was easy to some people because they found more information than anybody else in the class. Some entrepreneur's were well known and people just knew exactly what to right. It was difficult.
ReplyDeleteMaria, I completely understand your struggle on that assignment. I don't feel that I had nearly enough practice in writing research papers before college and it was a huge struggle and stress. I do have to say having the internet available opens up so many opportunities for gathering information in today's educational quest. That being said, clever keyword searches can help with gathering the research. Some of the comments do acknowledge the importance of peer editing and that is important because having other's read our work can help us get different perspectives and insight for our improvements as writer. I am glad to see that all of this year's Professional Business Communication students accomplished writing their MLA Entrepreneur Research paper! What a great accomplishment :)
